How To Look Good Without Makeup

0

There’s nothing wrong with not wearing makeup, but so many of us, yours truly included, feel more “put together” with makeup on. But, constantly wearing makeup can really stress out sensitive and problem skin, whether you have acne, eczema, rosacea, or other skin issues. So, letting it breathe as much as possible is really important.

Hence, we need to figure out ways to feel and look well-groomed without makeup, too. Now, we all know that basic things like using lip balm or washing our hair can go a long way in making us feel well-groomed. However, there are also things you can do to make visible changes to your skin when you go makeup-free. That’s why we have compiled a list of things you can do to make yourself look and feel fresh in your own skin, minus any makeup.

How To Look Beautiful Without Makeup ~if you’re looking for how to feel and look beautiful, fresh, renewed, rejuvenated, with skin glowing without any makeup on, here the post is about… And yeah, there’s such a thing, I promise it is possible.
It also contains some new things in terms of skincare that I’ve been really focusing on.

1. Use pore strips or a peel-off mask to de-gunk your skin

If you have blackhead-prone skin, the clogged pores can prevent your skin from looking smooth and even. If you get rid of the blackheads, you get a nice and shiny surface which feels and looks clean. So, using pore strips or peel-off masks on the nose and chin area really helps do that.

2. Massage your face with ice every morning

Not only does massaging your face with ice de-puff the skin, especially around the eyes, but it also reduces inflammation. So, if you have angry skin full of pimples, massaging a cold ice roller or chilled jade roller on that surface works wonders in calming it down. When this redness reduces, the skin in that area looks more even-toned, uninterrupted by patches of broken skin.

3. Moisturise your under-eyes

Protecting your under-eyes is important anyway, but wearing an eye cream or using an eye mask also helps the under-eyes look nourished, making you look wide-awake and fresh. In fact, many beauty gurus recommend using eye creams during the day, as most of them are mainly meant to hydrate the under-eyes and give them a moisturised look.

4. Use a dewy cream or oil on the high points of your face

If your skin glows, half the battle is won. This is because shine distracts the eye from “imperfections” and draws attention to itself. So, say you have acne on the lower jaw. Applying a face oil or dewy cream on the top of the cheekbones draws the onlooker’s attention to the upper part of the face, making the acne below less noticeable. Using such products on the browbone, bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow, and the inner corners of the eyes, also helps make the face look luminous without making it look oily.

5. Curl your lashes

Curling your lashes takes ten seconds but makes a world of difference. When you curl your lashes, it lifts up the lash hairs, making the eyes look more wide-open. This not only gives definition to your eyes, but makes you look awake and fresh.

6. Wear earrings

An odd yet effective trick for making you look more “ready,” is to put on some earrings. A simple pair of hoops, some small pearl studs, or delicate gold or silver tops are the most underrated yet useful thing to wear. They can add so much shine and sparkle to your face, brightening up the whole look. Trust us, try it!

7. Brush up your brows with soap

When droopy brow hair is brushed upwards, it lifts the entire browbone and changes the whole face. An easy way to do this without makeup is to take a spooly (or an old, clean mascara brush), rub it onto dampened soap, and then use that to brush up your brows. The only thing to remember is that your soap should be clear, like those Pears glycerin soaps.

8. Use a body oil, especially on your hands

No one likes their skin feeling itchy, tight, and dry, and it doesn’t look great either. So, moisturiser is crucial for making skin look and feel smooth and non-patchy. Using a body oil really helps give a nice glow to your skin, especially the legs, feet, elbows, knuckles, and nail beds. If your skin tends to get ashy around these areas, the lipids in the oil nourish them, and the sheen from the oil gets rid of the dullness.
