Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ cup of rice milk
  • half a cup of quinoa
  • 1/3 cup of prunes chopped
  • 1tsp grated ginger
  • 1tbsp of flaxseed oil
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg

Preparation:

Pour the water and quinoa in a small pot and add in the nutmeg and grated ginger. Bring to a boil while stirring. Cover the pot and simmer for about 10 minutes in reduced heat.

Then add the rice, milk, and prunes. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes more. Once ready, before taking it add a tablespoon of flaxseed oil and stir.

Kale is a good patch up for the kidneys. Pineapple does a lot for the digestion and ginger stimulates the flow of bile in the bladder.

Ingredients:

  • half a cup of mint
  • half cup of pineapple
  • ¼ inch of ginger
  • 2 large cucumbers
  • half a lemon squeezed
  • a bunch of kales without the stems
  • a juicer

Put all the ingredients in the juicer and mix.

Pomegranate, pineapple and lemon detox drink

In this particular recipe, a juicer is not necessary.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice unsweetened
  • ¾ cups of pineapple juice unsweetened

All you have to is mix all the ingredients in a cup or jug and you’re ready to go.

A snack made out of Veggies

Choose a variety of fresh vegetables like cucumber, celery and radishes and slice them before mixing them together. Add in some pepper, olive oil and salt. Have as much as you would like.

Lunch time fruit smoothie

Ingredients:

  • half a cup of ice
  • ¼ cup of blueberries frozen
  • half a cup unsweetened and plain almond milk
  • ¼ banana
  • 1 tbsp. of chia or ground flaxseed

Put everything into a blender and blend till it has a smooth consistency.

Blueberries are rich in a flavonoid known as quercetin that helps to boost the immune system and does well for the liver. Bananas are vitamin B6 fortified which is great for the detoxification of the liver. And the flaxseeds are rich in omega 3 which is a brain booster and have plenty of fiber.

Vegetable broth dinner soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 red onions
  • 2 tbsps. of paprika
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 2 quarts of water
  • 1 chopped fennel bulb complete with stalks and fronds
  • 1 chopped cabbage
  • 2 teaspoons of sea salt
  • 4 large garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of caraway seeds
  • Pepper freshly grounds
  • 1 cup shitake caps sliced
  • ½ cup chopped parsley
  • two tables spoons fresh oregano chopped
  • 8 sprigs of parsley with leaves and stems chopped

Add everything into a pot except the parsley. Add the water and let it come to a boil then let it simmer for about an hour. Use the parsley as the topping.

Garlic is perfect in aiding the function of the gall bladder while the fennel works to help the flow of bile in the bladder. Cabbage is great detoxification and shitakes help to boost the enzymes in the liver.
